The Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) Community Benefit Fund is focused broadly on the categories of health and wellbeing, safety, education, environment and sustainability, arts and culture, indigenous, and other community benefit initiatives. The initiative is run by the QAL group on behalf of Gold Coast Airport.

Applications will remain open until 11:59pm on Sunday 23 June 2019. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submissions by Wednesday 31 July 2019.
All applications for the Community Benefit Fund must fit into at least one of these funding categories to be eligible for consideration. These funding categories are defined as follows:
Initiatives that improve the overall health and wellbeing of members in the local community, including sporting bodies and projects related to supporting mental or physical health.
Initiatives that increase safety and security in the local community, such as projects related to emergecny response, crime prevention, natural disaster prevention, accident prevention and road safety.
Initiatives that promote environmental enhancement and/or sustainability in the local community. Examples include improving biodiversity of natural habitats, community conservation and environmental education.
Initiatives aimed at increasing the education of the local community in areas such as literacy and numeracy, life education, apprenticeships and traineeships. Schools and tertiary education providers may apply.
Initiatives that encourage creativity amongst the local community in the musical, artistic or performing arts space.
Initiatives aimed at supporting the Indigenous community and/or enhancing Indigenous cultural awareness in the broader community.
Initiatives from community groups that encourage and positively contribute to the community, but may not necessarily fit into one of the above categories.
