Gold Coast Airport 2011 Master Plan

The draft Gold Coast Airport 2011 Master Plan was approved by the Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, the Hon Anthony Albanese MP on 14 May 2012, following extensive consultation with the community and other key stakeholders. The draft has since been finalised, in consultation with the Federal Department of Infrastructure and Transport, and is now available to the public as a final 2011 Master Plan.

Changes to the preliminary draft 2011 Master Plan, arising from written comments received during the 60 day public comment period (September 2011 – December 2011) have been incorporated into the final 2011 Master Plan. The key changes that have occurred are within the following sections of the document:

The final 2011 Master Plan details how Gold Coast Airport is planned to develop over the next twenty years to 2031, including the forecast growth and facilities required to accommodate this growth. This Master Plan specifically focuses on the development requirements of the airport over the next five years. The Master Plan is a strategic document that is used as a guide for the development of airport facilities, assessment of environment effects, development of land use controls, and establishment of airport access requirements to meet the future requirements of the aviation industry and the community it serves.

The final 2011 Master Plan can be downloaded free of charge from this web site. Due to the size of the overall document, specific chapters can be individually downloaded if required.
