We recently arrived in the gold coast for a brief two day stop over before heading to NZ. I’ve got to say we looked around for our accommodation online and looked at the well market sites like wotif and lastminute but they all seemed to have higher tariffs and charge ‘booking fees’. We found this site which offered the same accommodations at slightly lower prices and no additional fees: http://www.GoldCoastAaccommodation.tv . Shop around and you will probably end up booking through this site. Jamie (Melbourne)

Loved the Gold Coast. Great airport, although it was raining when we got there and got wet. Found this website which really helped with Gold Coast information. Good information on the blog, specially for Whale Watching on the Gold coast. Didn’t even know it existed!
Recommend the Gold coast to anyone!

I have visited the Gold Coast many times (as well as living there for 6 plus years) and I still reckon it is one of the top places for a family holiday in Australia. Yes, there are things that are not always perfect, but overall it brings together some of the best ingredients for families to have a great holiday - huge range of accommodation, activities and attractions, theme parks and of course the beaches.
I love the beaches and the high rise background against the hills - there is something so magical about that.
When we holidayed in the Gold Coast we always tried to fly directly into Gold Coast Airport and over the years have seen some huge improvements. I am looking forward to checking out the next set of improvements - it can only be good.
It does get a bit confusing with the airlines chopping and changing their flights and routes into the Gold Coast, let’s hope that the number of destinations and routes keeps increasing so that we can share the Gold Coast with more of the world.
