Gold Coast Airport continued its record breaking run with its highest all time monthly passenger throughput numbers being achieved in October. The airport handled a total of 331,338 passengers during the month. This represented an increase of 21.8% over October in 2004 and was 5.5% above the previous record set in July 2005.

14/02/2005 - QUEENSLAND AIRPORTS LIMITED ACQUIRES TOWNSVILLE AND MOUNT ISA
Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) today signed an agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Australian Airports (Townsville) Pty Ltd (AAT) and Australian Airports (Mount Isa) Pty Ltd (AAMI). The two companies are the lessees and operators of Townsville and Mount Isa Airports respectively. The acquisition is subject to the approval of the shareholders in QAL.
